What kind of Foreign Tax Identification Number document can I submit?
The type of proof of Foreign Tax Identification Number (TIN) that you can submit is based on your country of citizenship. For US citizens, this is your Social Security Number (SSN).

Document Requirements
Your document must satisfy the following criteria:
- Your full tax number must be visible.
- Original PDFs or high-quality scanned documents only. Documents must be submitted in PDF format.
- No shadows or light reflections
- All text is legible
- All four corners of the document must be visible - What does "all four corners of the document must be visible" mean?
- No redactions or blacked-out information.
- Must be valid and follow the date of issue requirements below:
- Tax Return, W-2 Form, 1099 Form - Issued within the last 12 months
- SSN / TIN Card - Does not typically have a set expiry date
- Your full name (given name + surname) must match the name on your passport.
- No abbreviations, nicknames, or initials
- Your document must be in English, Portuguese, Spanish, or French.
