Why do capital gains/losses from securities and cryptocurrency incur an additional fee?

Under Portuguese tax law, capital gains/losses from securities and cryptocurrency need to be itemized and reported individually.

Our Pro package includes up to 15 unique security or cryptocurrency transactions. For those with more than 15 transactions, we charge an additional fee depending on the volume of your transactions due to the time and complexity involved in the process. This includes manually reviewing, organizing, and entering each transaction into your Portuguese tax return.

You can refer to our pricing page here.

Notes:

  • Long-term capital gains/losses from cryptocurrency do not need to be reported in the Portuguese tax return.
  • Long-term means that the asset was held for 365 days or more.
