Which countries does Novobanco support for account opening?

Due to changing bank policies, Novobanco can only support certain individuals in opening a bank account. Since this is a dynamic situation, we will keep this FAQ updated as new policies come into place.

If you can answer YES to both questions below, we can help you open a bank account in Portugal.

Do you hold a valid passport from one of the countries listed below?
Do you currently reside in one of the countries listed below?
Are you a citizen of one of the countries listed below?

These countries can all be different provided they are all listed below. Therefore, a person who holds a US passport and resides in Brazil qualifies for our bank account opening service.

Notes:

The bank may request additional information and documents from citizens of certain countries they deem to be high risk which might delay the account opening process.
These policies only impact our bank account service. We can support anyone in obtaining a NIF.
