When will I receive my password to Portal das Finanças?

After Bordr receives your NIF, we will automatically request your password from the Portuguese tax office. Your password will be delivered to your fiscal representative by physical mail and usually takes about 3 - 4 weeks. 

Once your password has been received, we will send you a copy via email. You will now be able to access the Portuguese tax office website, also known as Portal das Finanças. After you become a tax resident in Portugal, you will be able to update your address to your Portuguese address and register for NHR.
